Birth asphyxia is one of the top causes of neonatal death in India. Hospitals in India encounter Birth Asphyxia complications on a daily basis. Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy or HIE, is one of the most common Birth Asphyxia complications which result in large numbers of death or morbidity in NICUs. This results in Newborns not getting sufficient blood flow and Oxygen to their brains, resulting in brain sustaining severe damage.
